The Tudor Revival is found in homes both small and palatial. The cottage-style variant is generally smaller and more common. It is frequently found in house pattern books of the 1920s and 30s.

St Pete Architecture: Spanish Mission Style
Mission architecture romanticized the simple Spanish churches of colonial America. Mission houses typically have red tile roofs, parapets, decorative railings, and carved stonework. But the twentieth century Spanish inspired styles proved to be more far reaching. Wild and expressive, this new fashion borrowed from the entire history of Spanish architecture, from Moorish to Byzantine to Renaissance.

The Alden Hotel
The Alden Hotel was built sometime in the early 1930s. Once one of St. Pete's smaller downtown hotels, its lower levels now house several boutiques and restaurants. Its faded sign still exists to reflect its memory.
