Algiers

The old Algiers Motel, built circa 1952, in Treasure Island. Rumor had it they were going to tear down this building (as they have with many classic, vintage TI motels) and build a condo. As of the other day, the Algiers still stands, minus this sign on the facade, and the diamonds have been painted pink, green and tan. Whatever.

How could they get rid of this sign!?!?! I have stayed here before when I lived in St. Pete. Glad to hear it has not been torn down.
